Motivation for your miles.

DUNERYDID!

I am currently training to run the Mercedes Marathon for a SECOND time this February.

Today, the Hal Higdon Novice 2 Marathon Training Program called for an 11 mile run.  Less than half way through the run, I was really struggling.

Hence, the following short conversation:

Brain:  So you really think that you’re going to run a marathon….

Me:  Why yes…YES…I do believe I will.

~AND THEN I JUST KEPT ON RUNNING~

It did get easier!  11 miles are officially in the books!

This reminds me of a quote that I can’t quite remember, but it goes something like this, “The man with the experience trumps the one with the theory.”

or

as one of my friends said to me one day……

DUNERYDID!

a.k.a.

Done already did.

I have already.

Been there, done that.

Got the medal.

Doing it again.

Running inspires me to live. It helped me remember what winning felt like during a season of loss. The Lord speaks to me most during the miles....because there I'm giving Him the time to do so. These are the things that motivate me to run. I hope they inspire you to live God's best for your life as well. Happy Running!

  1. It is an honor and privilege to run our second marathon together. Love you!

  2. So exciting! I lived in Tuscaloosa for 6 years, and definitely want to come back to run Mercedes in the next few years! Good luck with your training!
